A guide to events at the club

 Social Bowls
  • Bowling to have fun and socialize with other members. Open to all club members. Social Bowling events have either random (“draws”) team assignments, or a coordinator assigns teams.  Play is typically 2-3 hours.  We follow all the rules, and keep score, but don’t take it that seriously.

USA Bowls Tournaments
  • Official competitive events.  Organized as part of Bowls USA or Southwest Division. These events will have players from other clubs (and ours) competing.  You need to sign up in advance, and pay an entry fee.    As a member of Newport Harbor you are also welcome to sign up for and play in tournaments at other clubs.  You can find a schedule of Southwest division tournaments by clicking HERE.

Club Tournaments
  • Competitive tournaments for members of Newport Harbor.  Some tournaments may require advance signup, but not always.  There is typically a small fee to enter, and a cash prize for winners.

Club Parties
  • The club hosts social events in the clubhouse for members throughout the year.  They generally have food and drinks, either provided by the club or brought by members (potluck).  They are often scheduled just before or after a club social bowling session, or a club tournament.

Maintenance
  • Groundskeeper time to work on our greens.
