What a wonderful "behind the scenes" tour led by our very own Doug Lofstrom (did we mentioned he just retired as the OC Fair CEO?). The historical background, explaining the difference between county fairs, country fairs, etc and the management of the OC Fair was informative to say the least. There is much to be proud of concerning our world class OC Fair. We were even able to visit the "command center" that runs all the electronics! Thank you Doug, for once again offering our members such a great opportunity.
The remodel of the women’s restroom at NHLBC is now underway. It includes a new double-sink vanity, wall coverings, lighting, fan, mirror and partitions. Please bear with us as access to the restroom will be partially limited during the remodel. The public restrooms at the back of the building will always be available during this time. Our remodeled restroom will be fully available soon!

Jim Reach (Official) put on a great "Footbowl" themed tournament with each rink representing a different football Bowl Game. Each rink's jack was themed on its corresponding bowl game. Examples of the set jacks were a pineapple for the Hula Bowl rink, a lemon for the Citrus Bowl rink and an alligator for the Gator Bowl rink. There was a field goal bowl-off by one representative from each winning team. Nick Novick took the win for his team today! A special thanks to all those who helped plan, organize and execute this fun, festive day of bowls and great eats! Wednesday, July 29 |
